Redfin Wrasse Information
The Redfin Wrasse is native to the Philippines and is found in the rubble areas of outer reefs. This tranquil wrasse makes perfect for the Reef Aquarium adding stunning coloration. As with other wrasses males in courtship display an increase in color intensity. The colors can vary based on the mood of the fish.
The Redfin Wrasse is a very calm active fish that can bring color and excitement to a reef or fish-only aquarium that is 90 gallons or more. They won’t bother any corals or invertebrates, making the perfect fish to keep in the reef aquarium. One male could be kept in an assortment of females which are introduced before or even at the same time to the male. They are known to jump, which is why a tight-fitting canopy is advised.
Redfin Wrasse Diet
A Redfin Wrasse diet must include mysis shrimp with vitamin enrichment frozen as well as vitamin-enriched brine shrimp that are frozen, as well as other meaty meals, excellent seafood flake, and pellets.
