Linear Blenny

The Linear Blenny is also known as the Lined Blenny. The lower part is white while the upper portion is black to brown in color. These are smaller than other blennies. Their huge eyes and tiny mouths make these fish have a comical appearance. Linear Blennies are a wonderful choice for any reef aquarium or tranquil fish-only aquarium big or small. Typically found in crevices and rocks at the bottom of the environment the Linear Blenny requires a tank with at least 30 gallons and plenty of live rock for grazing, perching, and eating. They shouldn't be housed with predators who could make them fearful or hide.   Linear Blenny is a perfect fish for the reef aquarium. It is reef safe, however, it can nibble at the polyps and the bases of Acropora sp. along with others SPS corals. If the SPS dominant aquarium isn't well-stocked with mature colonies, these fish can harm Acropora sp. along with Montipora sp. The diet for Linear Blenny must include vegetables, which includes frozen and dried food items that contain blue-green and marine algae. The Linear Blenny also feeds on (and aid in controlling) algae that grow within the tank.   Approximate Size of Purchase Small 3/8" from 1" Medium 1" to 1" to 1-3/4" Large: 1 3/4" and 2-1/2"; Large: 2 1/2" up to 3"
