The Singular Bannerfish is a spectacular butterflyfish in the family Chaetodontidae that packs a visual impact while also offering the ease of handling. Like other species belonging to the Genus Heniochus in appearance, the Singular Bannerfish sports a lengthened dorsal ray which creates an identifiable and immediately recognizable appearance that resembles a banner. While it is similar to other Heniochus species, at first glance, however, the Singular Bannerfish is relatively uncommon in the world of aquariums. It makes an excellent addition for collectors and anyone interested in marine aquariums and looking for an impressive specimen. The Singular Bannerfish is distinguished from other Bannerfish by the specific patterns of banding. This Singular Bannerfish has a white circle around its mouth, that is followed by a succession of black bands, including an entire ocular band that starts above and extends over the eye to the chin. The next black mid-body band lies directly in the front of the dorsal fin and the last black band seamlessly transitions to the bright, yellow coloration , which is a part of the dorsal ridge as well as the caudal fin.   Adult and juvenile Singular Bannerfish vary in appearance and appearance, with the most notable being the long White "banner" that is typical of the young Singular Bannerfish that accentuates the form of the deltoid, angular body. Adults of maturity have a smaller banner and adopt larger body shapes closer to the traditional Butterflyfish physique. In addition, adult Singular Fish features a beautiful reticulated design identical to the coveted Wrought Iron Butterflyfish. A diet consisting of frozen fresh, freeze-dried, or flake foods is easily accepted.
