General information regarding Decorated Goby
The Decorated Goby is an ornate submerged goby that will animate the lower parts of your aquarium by its routine and hilarious antics. It will actively roam the substrate looking for food and will even dive in the column of water to feed. The patterning is decorative and mottled and makes it possible for the Decorated Sandgoby to blend effortlessly into a sandy substrate that is dark. But, when contrasted against a lighter substrate, it is easier to appreciate the beautiful patterns and brown spots that grace this beautiful sand-sifting goby. To properly care for it is recommended that the Decorated Goby should be housed in aquariums with a well-established structure that includes fine coralline-encrusted rocks and live sand for the substrate. A well-stocked refugium that is attached is crucial to ensure an uninterrupted source of food to the Decorated Goby. A properly sealed canopy must be provided as it is believed that the Decorated Goby is capable of jumping out of the aquarium. It is non-aggressive towards other fish, however it can display territorial behavior and fight its own kind unless they're a mated pair.
