Majestic Angelfish Juvenile
The Majestic Angelfish Juvenile, also known as the Blue Girdled Angelfish, features a striking deep blue body with vibrant electric blue and white curved lines. This bold pattern creates a hypnotic, maze-like appearance that makes juveniles especially eye-catching in any aquarium.
As this species matures, its coloration transforms dramatically into a yellow and blue pattern with a signature dark “girdle” across the face—making it one of the more visually dynamic angelfish in the hobby.
Majestic Angelfish Tank Requirements
This species needs space and structure to feel secure. A minimum tank size of 180 gallons is recommended, with plenty of live rock and shaded areas for hiding. The more established the tank, the smoother the transition during acclimation.
A Bold Look That Evolves Over Time
Juvenile coloration doesn’t last forever. As the Majestic Angelfish matures, it transforms into a completely different appearance—yellow body tones with blue edging and a dark facial “girdle.” This dramatic change makes it one of the more rewarding angelfish species to grow out.
