Naso Tang Male Hawaii: Color Contrast Between Grey, Blue, and Yellow

  The Naso tang, also known as the Naso lituratus, can be found in the native regions of Hawaii, just off the coast of the Big Island. This Tang species is known for its distinct color contrast between its eye area and the rest of its body. It offers a good tonal shift in smoothness from its head to its tail. This fish is a very fast swimmer and can be semi-aggressive in your tank, so something to watch out for.   The Naso Tang male exhibits more aggressive behavior and faster swimming in its environment. Its striking yellow tail and off-color blue allow it to be seen from a long distance, including the yellow area around its eye. A masterpiece in any reef tank and a larger aquarium setup. It can also be known as the Orangespine Unicornfish and darkens as it matures.
