Wide-barred Shrimp Goby

The Wide-barred Shrimp Goby originates within the rubble zones of Indo Pacific, and is often found together with the pistol shrimp. The species is elongated in shape and is decorated with brown bars as well as the fins flecked with blue and brown. They are a tranquil species that can be found in tiny caves that they are not likely to move far from. They may also create a symbiotic connection with the pistol shrimp. This Wide-barred Shrimp Goby should be kept in a 10 gallon or greater aquarium with a sand-covered bottom, to create burrows. It likes having peaceful tankmates and numerous hiding places. If you are planning to incorporate them into small groups or pairs, they must be introduced to the aquarium at the same time. The diet of the Wide-barred Shrimp should consist of a selection of frozen or fresh cut seafood, brine or mysis shrimp. It must be served food at least once a day.
