It is known as the Waitei Anthias, Luzonichthys waitei is also known under another attractive and descriptive name that is commonly used that is it is also known as the Magenta Slender Anthias. The members of the genus Luzonichthys (Slender Anthias) and this particular beauty, appear only in sporadic instances in the aquarium market and are thus highly sought-after by enthusiasts. The Waitei Anthias is a vibrant fish that has a variety of shades of magenta, orange, and purple that instantly fill aquariums in marine settings with an exciting color. As their name implies, Slender Anthias have elongate bodies that can be distinguished through a split or split dorsal fin. However, distinguishing male and female Anthias within this genus is an additional challenge due to the fact that colors does not vary between genders. The shy Waitei Anthias may require extra "TLC" when it is first introduced to the aquarium. It is recommended to be maintained in smaller groups with five or more. This Waitei Anthias is well suited to any aquarium that houses reef calm fishes. To create habitat for these Waitei Anthias, fill the aquascape with live rocks creating caves, as well as other places to hide. Make sure you maintain large areas of open space and enough surface area to ensure proper oxygenation of the water. Create strong water flow to recreate the swept-off areas along the reef slopes.   After being acclimated to the new aquarium, Waitei Anthias thrive when being fed a diverse diet consisting of mysis shrimp enriched in frozen and brine shrimp that have been enriched and, over time, may consume premium flake food in small amounts throughout the daytime.
