Captive-Bred Captive-Bred Premium Picasso Percula Clownfish is a unique and desirable variant of the Percula Clownfish. The fish is orange with irregularly shaped white patches, outlined in black. This species of the Pomacentridae family is a wonderful option for almost every saltwater aquarium. Captive-Bred fish have a unique advantage over the wild harvested species because they're generally resilient and more accustomed to conditions in the aquarium at home. Thus, fish that are tank-bred make an excellent choice for beginners as well as experienced aquarists. The Captive-Bred Percula, a premium Picasso clownfish can be easily bred within your aquarium. Females are the most massive of the two and the two fish are usually close in the tank. Clownfish lay eggs and deposit them on flat surfaces and defend the eggs from tankmates. The eggs usually hatch between 8 and 11 days, depending on the temperature of the water. The fry need to be raised in separate tanks with a diet consisting of rotifers, followed by baby brine shrimp.
