Panamic Barnacle Blenny

Panamic Barnacle Blenny which is sometimes referred to by The Hancocks Blenny is generally seen from El Salvador to Panama as well as Ecuador. The color is a mix of black with red, white, and black covering the fins and body. The Mexican Barnacle Blenny has an enormous dark brown to charcoal spot on its eye. This Blenny has red lips, iris as well as a front dorsal fin. An established 10 gallon or greater aquarium that has multiple hiding spots and plenty of rocks is the ideal habitat. It is believed that the Panamic Barnacle Blenny is an extremely entertaining fish as they sprint as fast as they can in order to steal food from the water column while trying to avoid being consumed by other fish. The body of this fish is rarely seen since they usually live in a small crevice inside the rock. They are extremely alert fish, constantly looking around the aquarium in anticipation of the next meal to come.   It is believed that the Panamic Barnacle Blenny does best in well-established aquariums , with a huge number of crevices within the rocks to hide. The diet should consist of meaty foods like freshly chopped crustacean flesh and vitamin-rich frozen brine, and mysis shrimp.   Approximate Purchase Size: Small: 3/4" to 1" Medium: 1" to 1-1/2"
