ORA® Captive-Bred Premium Picasso Percula Clownfish is an exceptional and sought-after variation from the Percula Clownfish. The Picasso variation is found naturally throughout the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea but it's extremely difficult to locate. ORAs breed from Picasso Percula Clownfish originated in 2004 from a single male in the Solomon Islands, which they were paired with an Onyx female. Later on, ORA has also added collected wild Picasso Percula Clownfish into their breeding program. The majority of Percula Clownfish in the industry can be traced back to ORAs breeding program.   ORA® Captive-Bred Premium Picasso Percula Clownfish are exemplars of the highest quality and are selected by hand for their uniqueness. These stunning fish display even more white coverage than ORA Picasso Percula Clownfish. ORAs expert graders search for features that are premium, such as additional stripes or marks that have been identified as desirable designs on the face and head, and also taking into consideration the uniqueness or rarity stripes to make sure that every ORA Premium Picasso Percula Clownfish is an original piece. General info about Picasso Percula Clownfish The Picasso variation is found naturally within the Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea However, it is extremely rare. ORA's line of Picassos began in 2004 with one native male of the Solomon Islands, which was coupled with an typical Onyx female. The following years, we've added more wild Picassos to our breeding programs. These stunning fish display more white, especially in their central stripe. Each fish is unique and carefully selected by our knowledgeable graders. They grade these fish based by how much white in the tank as well as the peculiarity of the markings as well as the rarity in the marks. It is possible that the Picasso Clownfish may be radically colored on one side, and only have an extra blob that is white opposite.
