The Green Silk Gudgeon Dartfish, often referred to as the Green Gudgeon Goby originates from the reefs of Maldives. They sport an elongated body that is an iridescent green color and has blue marks on the face, head, and gill plates. They are great fish for a fish-only and reef aquarium.
It is best to keep it in 30 gallon or bigger aquarium that is filled with loose coral rubble. It requires plenty of space for swimming with a bottom that is sand for burrowing. It might try to leap from the aquarium or any other opening that is small which is why a tightly-fitting lid is necessary. It is rare for it to become aggressive with other fish.
It feeds primarily on prey floating within the column of water. However, it will also pick up food off the substrate too. This Green Silk Gudgeon Dartfish feeds on a diet consisting of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, table shrimp, as well as frozen carnivore food preparations. It is recommended to feed it at a minimum of three times per day.
