The Fathead Sunburst Anthias also known as Fathead Anthias, is a vibrant fish that is predominantly pink with large scale margins that are yellow-to-orange and face markings. Anal and pectoral fins are fringed with blue. It is believed that the Fathead Sunburst Anthias prefers to be in the bottom of the tank therefore the deeper, the better however, it must be maintained with ample surface area to ensure adequate water oxygenation. An environment that has moderate to low light with plenty of hiding spots is the ideal environment. It should be placed in an environment with tranquil tankmates like gobies. If you are keeping several tanks it's recommended to introduce all the anthias simultaneously.   Anthias species are all characterized by the feature in being hermaphroditic. If the dominant male dies the biggest female in the group is likely to change to replace it.   Once they have acclimatized to the fresh aquarium, the anthias perform well when they are fed a steady supply of nutritious mysis shrimp frozen and enriched frozen brine shrimp eventually, they will consume premium flake foods in small amounts throughout the daytime. The Fathead Sunburst Anthias prefers to be in the lowest point of the tank, which means the deeper it is however, it must have ample surface area to ensure adequate water oxygenation. A moderate light environment with plenty of hiding spots is ideal. It should be placed in an environment with peaceful tankmates, such as gobies. If you are keeping several tanks it's best to introduce all the anthias in the same tank at once. Anthias species share the characteristic in that they're hermaphroditic. If the dominant male dies the most dominant female of the group may change to take over its place.
