The Ember Blenny is also known as the Red-streaked Blenny or Scarlet-spotted. Males tend to be larger than females and undergo a series of color shifts when breeding. It needs a tank that is at least 55 gallons or more, with lots of rocks scattered to perch and hide, and a live rock that has microalgae growth to eat. Contrary to other blennies, the Ember Blenny needs a hefty diet that includes minced crustacean flesh that is finely chopped Mysis, vitamin enriched brine shrimp, in addition to frozen herbivorous foods blue-green algae, and microalgae. If you have multiple Ember Blenny within an aquarium it's ideal to get them acclimated simultaneously.
