The Canary Blenny is also known as the Oualan Forktail Blenny or Canary Fang Blenny. This Canary Blenny is aptly named due to its vibrant yellow. Males tend to be larger than females, and they experience an array of color variations during breeding. This blenny requires a tank size of at least 30 gallons filled with live rock for hunting and grazing to flourish. It is best to have just one per tank, unless a breeding pair. If the fish is attacked it responds by slicing into the attacker's mouth. The Canary Blenny is considered venomous and should be handled carefully in the presence of children who have access to tank.   Canary Blenny's diet should consist of minced crustacean flesh as well as mysis, vitamin enriched brine shrimp and frozen herbivore dishes.   Approximate Purchase Size: Small: 1-1/4" to 2-1/2"; Medium: 2-1/2" to 3-1/4"; Large: 3-1/4" to 4"

General information on Canary Blenny The Canary Blenny is appropriately named, as it is an intense yellow color. The blenny requires a medium to a large tank with live rocks to hunt and graze in order to flourish. It is recommended to keep one in each tank unless there is a breeding pair. If the fish is attacked by another the Canary Blenny will respond by slicing into the mouths of its attacker. This blenny species is considered venomous and should be handled at a safe distance from children with access to tanks as it could consider fingers to be an attack and then deliver a similar painful bite.
